Get Ready To Go Down Under with Peter Hook & The Light
In their tireless trek around the planet to showcase the 25th anniversary of the release of the “Get Ready" album. Peter Hook and the Light are about to commence the Australian/New Zealand phase of the world tour. The first date of which will be at the James Hay Theatre in Christchurch, New Zealand, on July 8th, 2026. While the album in its entirety is a draw, selected hits and highlights of Peter Hook's gilded career can also be anticipated, touching on the vast catalog of classics from his tenure with Joy Division and New Order.

Everybody will have their own personal favorites; however, the mix of Joy Division and New Order classics the band opts to perform each night will make each event uniquely special. Whichever tracks get chosen to perform each night, there is just such a rich tapestry of work at hand; you can't really go wrong.
The Peter Hook and the Light live show experience is way more than just another nostalgia act for us to reminisce over.
It transcends a regular rock & roll show; there is something about those tones, textures, and subtleties that are created live that connects you to something quite otherworldly. But yet still tangible to that place in the late 70's that birthed such tracks as "Dead Souls" and "Day of the Lords" into the drudge and gloom of a rain-soaked inner-city dimly lit Manchester back alley. The impact on your emotions and very psyche as these tracks breathe life and start to vibrate their power around your rib cage is quite an experience; I personally never tire of it and feel very blessed to have experienced a very many of them at this point in my life now. It always feels authentic and never acted or staged or tired; the very exalting and uplifting vibe takes you to a place few other bands can.
Is it all pure talent, or do we get a little visit in spirit from old Ian Curtis infused in the mix of emotions and atmospherics when these tracks enter the live vibrations of the universe?
Who knows? But there is something truly special that you cannot put your finger on that stirs up certain feelings you are not going to find from any other band.
Birthed in Manchester with grime and sweat, red bricks, and soot. The emotions and subtleties involved in very many of these tracks are all still there, loud and clear, just as bold and forthright as they were the day they were forged from the hardships of the repressed and depressed Northern England of that era. Peter Hook and the Light will take you there and back and way beyond. They will bring you an experience that is worth every penny of the admission price.
The final stages of the world tour will continue on after this leg with a North American tour playing most major cities, commencing with Cleveland, Ohio, in August, blessing us with their presence through most of the month of September, with the final date being in Vancouver, Canada.
