PERRYBOIS or TURTLES JR Both are Great.

Members of everyone’s favorite Indonesian hardcore punk band Turtles Jr. are also part of PERRYBOIS, who will hit the RIS Stage on Friday from 14:10 to 14:40. Guitarist Buux and drummer Boentar have been playing with Perrybois since 2015, bringing the same relentless energy and DIY spirit that define Turtles Jr., but with a fresh twist that’s all their own.

Hailing from Bandung, Indonesia, Perrybois bring a fierce, uncompromising approach to hardcore punk. Their sound channels the raw urgency of ’80s hardcore while carving out its own identity, marked by jagged riffs, relentless drumming, and a full-vocal attack. Their lyrics are delivered in Indonesian and English, adding both authenticity and a unique rhythmic edge that cuts through in a live setting.

With roots in a city known for its vibrant punk underground, Perrybois tap into the DIY spirit that has defined Bandung’s scene for decades, blending it with their own perspective and lived experience. For audiences used to Western hardcore, they offer something refreshingly different—both familiar in its intensity and distinct in its cultural voice. The gentlemen will also be playing a free show at the Scream and Shake on Saturday the 9th, likely before publishing a few gigs on the way to Rebellion.
